Thank you for expressing an interest in Harris County Public Health.

Many of our volunteers and interns assist with office work. However, let us know if you have a special skill or interest because we may be able to design an opportunity especially for you. You are encouraged to visit our website at: www.hcphtx.org to learn more about the five divisions and four major offices that make up HCPH. The administrative offices are located at 2223 West Loop South (in the Galleria area), but we have several site locations throughout Harris County.

Most opportunities with HCPH require volunteers/interns who:

  • Can work during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
  • Can commit a minimum of 50 hours (for example - 5 hours a week for 10 weeks) (High School students usually commit to 40 hours)
  • Are at least 18 years old (applicants under 18 may be accepted with parental consent)
